The Project Manager will support the strategic business initiatives of The Connector related to the underwriting platform used by Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) and its insurance distribution partners. The Project Manager will be expected to identify issues and resolve problems following PMO guidelines and group standard operating procedures. A high level of communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization, is required. The Project Manager must possess an acute attention to detail and the dedication to see projects through from start to finish.
Essential Functions:
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, business stakeholders and project SME’s.
Build, manage and track project plans through execution.
Compile reporting documentation to monitor, track and prioritize deliverables.
Monitor and update resource allocation needs to ensure coverage on project tasks.
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Identify program risk and mitigation plans to minimize impact on deliverables.
Lead meetings related to project status, risks, issues, action items, or change controls.
Effectively communicate relevant project information and provide direction to stakeholders and the Project Team.
Coordinate activities across different organizational functions.
Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
Report project performance via the PMO, and escalate wherever necessary to ensure project success.
Education/Experience/Skills:
4+ years of project management experience, utilizing project management methodologies OR
10+ years of strong administrative experience encompassing the successful delivery of projects.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to drive issue resolution.
Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve issues, and make informed decisions.
Strong ability to function in a fluid environment with shifting priorities and demands.
Ability to direct others in a non-reporting relationship.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
Proven track record of being a team player.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field desired.
