Job Descrption

1. Role Objective:

To manage the site execution of the project such that it is completed within the time, cost, productivity and quality requirements of the contract while adhering to the company’s quality and safety practices project as per directions of Construction Manager and Project Manager. To assign and distribute efficiently the available resources, materials, subcontractors and equipment on the project.

2. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

STRATEGIC

1) Assists in the introduction/applying new methods of construction and machinery used to improve the construction process.

2) Promotes a culture of logistic planning and productivity measurement.

3) Promotes a culture of minimizing material wastage and enhance labor/equipment usage.

OPERATIONAL

1) Ensures construction work of assigned project is executed within target time frames agreed with the Project Manager/Site Construction Manager and budgeted cost

2) Optimizes manpower productivity, equipment, and materials... allocation, and ensures no materials are wasted on assigned part of site.

3) Assigns responsibilities to on-site staff as per directions of Construction Manager and Project Manager.

4) Implements the safety requirements in coordination with Safety Officer.

5) Supervises staff and non –staff attendance and productivity.

6) Interfaces/coordinates with sub-contractors to ensure compliance of projectimplementation with construction schedule.

7) Assists with preparation of construction schedule, manpower histogram, submittal log, and drawing log, and any changes thereof, in coordination with Construction staff and Planning & Cost Control Units for initial project planning.

8) Assists with preparation of two-week look ahead schedules for project implementation.

9) Coordinates with Project Manager or Site Construction Manager on preparation of all project submittals and drawings.

10) Ensures placement of AQC logo on site panels.

11) Interfaces/follows up with suppliers to verify materials received.

12) Issues material requisition forms in coordination with Project Manager/ Construction Manager.

13) Oversees purchase and delivery of required materials, and inflow/outflow of site store materials in coordination with Procurement Department.

14) Attends weekly meetings with Project Manager/Construction Manager, and Site Engineer(s) for look-ahead plan.

15) Interfaces/interacts with consultants/supervisors on site-related matters and ensures good relations with them.

16) Coordinates with the Project Manager against any shop drawings clashes.

17) Issues Inspection Request to the QA/QC team to inspect the activities.

18) Reviews the Variations/Change Orders/Time extensions with the Project Manager/ Site Construction Manager to give feedback about the impact on the project.

19) Assists in the preparation of the project close out reports

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

1) Assigns tasks and responsibilities to Site Engineers and foremen as per directions of Project Manager/Site Construction Manager

2) Assists in the training and development of personnel in the Construction function.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
