Job Overview:
Flint Capital UK Ltd is seeking an Information Security Officer (ISO) to oversee and implement comprehensive IT security protocols within our growing business. The ISO will be responsible for ensuring that our IT systems are secure, compliant, and capable of handling sensitive data and payment transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IT security, access rights, API integration, and protecting against cyber threats. This role is crucial for ensuring Flint Capital’s operational integrity as we expand into fintech services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement IT Security Policies: Design and maintain IT security policies and procedures, ensuring they meet industry standards and align with operational requirements.
Systems Access Control: Establish secure access rights and procedures for all IT systems to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data.
API Security: Oversee the security of API integrations with partners, ensuring safe and... secure handling of data and transactions.
Cybersecurity: Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect the company from external threats, such as hacking and data breaches.
Data Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and secure storage and management of sensitive client and transaction data.
Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular IT risk assessments and audits, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing strategies to mitigate risks.
Security Incident Response: Develop and implement protocols for responding to IT security incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Training and Awareness: Provide IT security training for employees, ensuring understanding and adherence to security protocols.
Key Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or a related field, preferably within financial services or fintech.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of network security, firewalls, encryption, access management, and cybersecurity tools.
API Integration Experience: Familiarity with securing API integrations and managing sensitive data transmission between systems.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and IT compliance frameworks.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are desirable.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage and mitigate IT security risks.
Communication: Ability to communicate IT security concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
