Job DescriptionAre you a Substances / Material Engineer currently looking for a new career opportunity within Materials Engineering? If so, Expleo has the role for you. Expleo Engineering is working on behalf of one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers to recruit a Materials Compliance Engineer. This is a long-term contract role based at our client's site in Bedfordshire.Responsibilities of the Material Engineer include:Coordinating the gathering and validation of substances and materials composition information of vehicles and parts.Monitoring compliance with regulations related to substances.Controlling vehicle interior air quality by testing materials, parts, and vehicles.Presenting vehicle compliance status reports to senior management in accordance with vehicle development milestones.Skills and experience required for the Material Engineer position:Experience within compliance or regulatory activities, preferably applied to substances and materials.Knowledge of... International Material Data System and iPoint software.Ideally Degree level educated within chemistry/materials science.Valid UK/European driving licence.To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK.
