About the Job
Identify and assess the environmental aspects of company's plants, operations and acts to ensure the environmental protection in line with the international and local standards, and according to ADNOC Code of Practice. Develop the techniques and procedures for measuring the environmental discharges, analyses the data and report environmental performance to ensure the daily monitoring.
Key Accountabilities
- Measure, analyse, and monitor the environmental discharges from the plant to ensure timely monitoring; namely, flaring, emissions, liquid effluents and wastes.
- Receive, analyse, calculate and report the environmental data from the assets, plants, projects to ensure proper data reconciliation and tracking.
- Solicit and recommend on hazardous control and wastes management, and oversee the disposal of wastes in coordination with the respective parties.
- Align the environmental aspects with the overall HSE' systems, policies and procedures, and the Company's Integrated Management System to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Update and communicate all the relevant environmental policies, procedures, and relevant documents to ensure timely implementation.
- Identify, and recommend the environmental requirements for the technical projects and supplies, to ensure compliance with the company's overall HSE, and standards.
- Prepare training and communication materials to ensure proper and aligned terminologies and concepts are placed, in accordance with most recent practices and policies.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical data with particular focus on environmental data; i.e. emissions, flaring, carbon, water and waste including life-cycle analysis (LCA) etc.
- Calculate, review and analyse the greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, emission levels, flaring data, energy consumption, etc. in line with the sustainability criteria for the company.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environment, or Chemistry Sciences.
- At least 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in HSE or Technical Occupations.
- Hands on in Risk Assessment Studies; i.e. TRA, HAZID, HAZOPS, PSSR, HSEIA, etc.
- Knowledge of international sustainability standards, codes and work practices.
- Experience in sustainability strategies and management systems.
