Skydance is looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant who will support the SVP of Marketing & Publicity and the VP of Marketing. Aside from providing administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team, the Assistant will work on the creation and execution of the department’s tasks to help drive the company’s projects and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- ADIMINSTRATIVE
- Provide heavy administrative support for SVP of Marketing & Publicity and the VP of Marketing, including coordinating schedules, travel and manage all phone calls
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Process invoices and expenses with the appropriate accounting teams
- Maintain all department grids, manage and organize documents within the communications server, maintain and create company calendars and updates
- COMMUNICATIONS/TALENT RELATIONS
- Maintain media lists, staff biographies and headshots
- Distribute the daily news roundup to the company
- Compile, monitor and circulate news coverage related to company, projects, industry, partners
- Support the media relations efforts, including trade and business press for print, online, and broadcast across all the studio’s divisions: Feature Film, Television, Animation, Interactive, New Media and Sports.
- Assist in drafting and editing press releases, award submissions, talking points
- Coordinate press release distribution across wire service and dissemination of news to media lists
- Track all company speaking engagements and assist in the planning and execution
- Assist in planning and executing events
- Coordinate and execute all wrap and start gifts for respective projects
- Track birthdays, special events, and special moments for our partners including actors, directors, producers, etc. and brainstorm and execute custom gifts to be delivered to them
- MARKETING/SOCIAL
- Support in digital marketing efforts that include website maintenance, social media community management, and social media reporting
- Contribute to the outreach to partners for social assets and save assets to shared drive
- Project manage brand creative
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience working at a publicity or marketing firm or in a publicity/marketing department at a studio, network or streaming service.
- Background in media or arts/cultural organizations
- Familiar with social media platforms and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency in Sprout Social and WordPress, a plus
The hourly rate range for this non-exempt position in Los Angeles is $
21.00 – $
23.00. The rate offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc. We realize that skills and expertise can come from many different experiences and paths, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements as written in the job description.
