About the position:
The Financial Institutions team is looking for a dynamic individual to join the team that covers bank and non-bank financial institutions. Financial institutions have a global reach with a wide range of product needs. The role of the Junior Coverage Banker / Relationship Manager is pivotal to the establishment, development, and enhancement of the relationships that we manage across the ING Network.
In this role you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the exciting and constantly evolving landscape of commercial banking to Financial Institutions, working with clients including Banks, Asset Managers and the funds they manage, Financial Sponsors, and Insurance Companies. In doing so you will have the opportunity to learn their businesses and help them understand how to get the most out of ING’s products and services, which range from lending to financial markets, capital markets, and transaction services across the globe.
About the department:
Financial Institutions manages ING's relationships on a global basis with our most important financial institution clients. We are a true multi-product coverage unit, fully aligned with our product, risk management and network colleagues. Our focus is to provide pro-active, solutions driven origination to our clients and to deliver excellent execution across the full range of transaction banking and high value-added products. The role is within the Americas Financial Institutions team where we focus on delivering ING’s services and products to banks and non-bank FIs located in the US and Canada.
The team’s primary goals include the origination of deal opportunities, execution support, extraction of cross-buy, facilitating capital velocity, and defending ING’s share of wallet, as well as promoting a recurring business dialogue to build long-term relationships with each client. Key to this is not only discerning each client’s investment profile, but also having a data-driven understanding of the exposure and product interaction from each of ING’s global teams.

Base Salary Range: $130K-$150K
