Engineering Information is the lifeblood that feeds decision making in project and operating facility environments. The accuracy with which information is defined, processed, and consumed is critical to the smooth and safe running of Company ventures. As an Information Management Document Lead, you will play an important role in managing information delivery and use. You will also represent the IM/IT discipline and faces out to both Project and Facility operations teams.
You will be reporting to the Shell UK IM Delivery Lead with responsibility for delivering IM/IT services to both Capital and Brownfield Projects areas within the Shell UK Operating Unit. We are expecting you to have a strong passion to lead and transform the way information is generated and consumed, with a resolute commitment to promote more automated digitalised ways of working, having an inquisitive mindset and good communication skills. You may also anticipate conducting visits to Facility and Project locations occasionally.
What’s the role
As an Information Management Document Lead, we are expecting you to have a solid foundation in working within the Information Management genre through multiple stages of the ORS while being involved in Capital Project Information Management, Brownfield Modification Information Management, and Local Management system.
Furthermore, your responsibilities include the following:
Delivery of IM Services in compliance with procedures for internal and external design and equipment vendor information.
Write/adapt document control procedures to support specific project work processes.
Regular instructions / communications with external stakeholders and Contractors.
Comply with the Company Records Management for Controlled and non-Controlled documents.
Checking and loading of received Master Document registers to Project Document Control System Assai Cloud.
Creation of electronic Document Distribution Matrices with input sought and received from Project team members to ensure efficacy of defined automated distribution flows.
Support the use of document SharePoint team working areas for daily work and information sharing.
Maintain, define, and deliver Power BI Dashboards to accurately reflect the status of project Information deliverables.
Prepare document performance reports (status, progress and forecast).
Delivery of Information services to Brownfield Management of Change and or Minor modification projects within a defined concurrent engineering environment
Working with various parties both internal and external to Shell responsible for the drafting and update of As Built Tier 1 and 2 documents.
Engaging business stakeholders and ensuring Project and Facility IM requirements are met within designated scopes of work.
Managing IM interfaces between the Company and external Contractors.
Training and educating Project and Facility colleagues and co-workers to follow designated IM processes, specifications and standards and use of IM tools where required.
Communicating issues where appropriate up and down the line as an IM/IT representative to business customers whose requirements need to be managed.
Engaging business stakeholders and ensuring Project and Facility IM requirements are met within designated scopes of work.

What we need from you
Substantial experience of working in Information Management within a project environment.
Specific detailed knowledge of IT applications such as: AssaiCloud Admin Aveva AIM A, PowerBI, Kognitiwn is desirable.
Experience of working in information Management for an Engineering Contractor/Environment is desirable.
Conventional Oil & Gas, Carbon Capture Storage (CCUS) experience preferred.
Data literate, fundamentals, critical thinking, integration, and data value generation skills are key.
Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Desktop environment and applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Understanding of the requirements surrounding the control and update of As Built native file environment – documentation can originate from Design Tools e.g., SPI. SPPID or 2D AutoCAD.
Understanding of the structure and use of SUKEP digital applications such as: Operational Engineering Datawarehouse Aveva AIM A and Digital Twin Kognitwin.
