As a Manager based in London, you will play a key leadership role in the Portfolio Guideline Analysis (PGA) group within Global Investment Control (GIC). This team is responsible for overseeing Funds/client account investment guidelines and other relevant regulatory portfolio restrictions are set up appropriately. You will help drive the business forward by supporting new product launches as well as leading through current and future business challenges within the PGA group and the broader GIC department. These will include setting goals and objectives for the team, performance management and development. Finally, you will help manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including investment professionals, legal & compliance, distribution and occasionally clients.
Assigns work across associates based on business and developmental needs.
Works closely with senior associates to analyse/revise workflow as needed. Continues to assess workflow to identify efficiencies and streamline opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Ensures adequate staffing to complete team responsibilities as well as the work across teams.
Monitors trends and areas where work can be more effective and efficient. Identifies issues and trends related to processes, manages risk, and supports operational changes to improve workflow and effectiveness.
Leads Portfolio Guideline Analysis (PGA) team within Global Investment Control.
Maintains oversight of work to ensure the highest level of service is efficiently delivered, with risk mitigated and escalated appropriately.
Ensures established guidelines, including rule coding best practices, are followed within the team.
Establishes individual and team goals/objectives for associates to support broader business area objectives.
Manages projects.
Through innovation, identifies opportunities for new projects by assessing the current environment and applying understanding of current and future business needs.
Plans, prioritizes, aligns resources, and coordinates projects. Monitors and confirms status with senior manager, clients, and associates.
Skills:
Experience in a management capacity in a large, complex, global organization; financial services or investment management industry.
Demonstrated track record in driving change, making a business more effective and efficient, and effectively influencing others.
Skilled at problem solving, developing practical solutions, and influencing key stakeholders to drive successful implementation.
Adept at conveying ideas and recommendations to positively influence outcomes.
A minimum of three years management experience.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
