Supply Quality Engineers (SQE) work within the Performance and Improvement Function in the Submarines business and are responsible for conducting product and documentation verification and final product release to our customers from the Rolls- Royce’s Manufacturing Business Units and the external supply chain.
This vacancy is for both internal manufacturing facilities and external supply chain and may include significant amount of travel (mostly domestic) and potentially overnight stay requests of up to 4-5 days a week.
You will work with our Design Authority, Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain Planners, and Buyers to ensure that all aspects of manufacture meet the requirements of the product definition and purchase order. The SQE will also experience significant interaction with our customers during the execution of this role.

As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
As an SQE, you will operate as the Rolls-Royce Submarines Independent Acceptance Authority ensuring contractual, customer and regulatory requirements are satisfied. This includes (but not limited to)):
1) ensure that purchase order requirements are fully understood by all stakeholders.
2) plan surveillance based on risk and previous experience of the materiel and supply chain performance.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
