You will be joining a small, close knit highly motivated and engaged team and provides the opportunity to work on critical, blue chip programmes with one of Electricals largest, most complex and important suppliers as well as owning additional supplier accounts outright

What you will be doing:

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:

  • You will be managing the commercial elements of the fleet support programme in the supplier
  • You will be owning the commercial relationship for a key supplier into the RR testing facility
  • You will be involved in either through supporting, or taking ownership of a number of significant work packages that need completing this year, including Agreement of new T&C’s with a supplier who is very commercially aware and owns the IP for their products, Negotiate and place contracts for major design make programmes and on site refurbishment.
  • You will work with the internal team and supplier to develop compliant QSC’s under SSCR regulations and be involved in an Enterprise-wide pilot between key members of the Submarines Alliance and the supplier to develop common ways of working, an enterprise approach to planning and maximise efficiencies.
  • You will play a key role in shaping the Electrical strategy for future programmes and beyond including shaping the direction of component management

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience.
  • Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent
  • Has a proven track record of delivering results
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working. Good planning / project management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen. Familiarity with purchasing and supply chain management preferred.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
