Accounting is central to ensuring a profitable, well run insurance business and your work will support the success of a FTSE 100 company. Our Accounting teams work throughout the Group functions including Tax, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Risk Analytics and Expense and Ledger Management.
You’ll rotate annually over the three years into different business areas and office locations, developing your professional network and expanding on your quantitative and qualitative skills whilst you study towards a professional qualification. Your first rotation will be in Hove, followed by one of our other central hub locations- either London or Cardiff.
Our Graduate Programme has been designed to give you the fundamental experience and skill set to excel at Legal and General. You’ll join with a cohort of graduates and take part in our thoughtfully designed Legal and General Induction, providing you with insights about our business and helping you connect with your new peers to grow your professional network.
In this role, you will join us on a full-time permanent basis and receive on the job training and coaching from your line manager and team to help you expand on both your business acumen and quantitative and qualitative skills. Alongside this you’ll study for an industry recognised Professional Qualification. Combined, these will fully equip you to be successful in your role, with the knowledge and skills required to apply to real world business challenges.
The programme offers insight into a breadth of finance functions giving you exposure to Commercial Finance, Financial Reporting and Controls & Governance and by the end of the programme, you will have built a clear picture of where your interests and experience can take you within Legal and General, beyond the Graduate Scheme.

Our rotational programme means that you could be working in any of our divisions which include Group, Legal & General Capital (LGC), Legal & General Retirement Institutional (LGRI) and Legal & General Retail. This also means moving to different office locations for each rotation too; you will have placements in all of our main offices, which are Hove, Cardiff and London. If your first rotation is in Cardiff, your second will be Hove or London and so on. Wherever you are placed you will be delivering essential services and activities that have a real impact on our business and our customers lives, we enable our people to do what they do best, contributing to delivering a great customer service, profitability and strategic growth.
