Job Description

As our Product Marketing Manager, you will create and deliver product marketing initiatives for LGIM’s Defined Contribution (DC) business to help meet business objectives and sales targets.

You will create and deliver product marketing messaging and content for LGIM’s range of Target Date Funds and private markets fund(s) that may be of interest to DC clients and pension scheme advisors as well as ensuring that all marketing content created in support of these objectives uphold high regulatory standards and principles

You’ll play a key role in delivering initiatives to both improve the perception of LGIM as a leading provider of products and solutions and increase assets under management via the relevant marketing channels. As well as of course, upholding regulatory adherence.

You will be:

  • Leading the creation of product marketing campaigns for LGIM’s Defined Contribution (DC) business, with the aim of driving client sales and retention, working in close collaboration with investment, distribution, product and marketing teams across LGIM.
  • Developing differentiated positioning, messaging and product-specific content for LGIM’s Target Date Funds (TDFs) and private markets fund(s) targeting DC scheme managers and pension scheme advisors. You’ll create and own a compelling central narrative for LGIM’s evolving TDF product range but will also include ownership of the marketing elements of a new fund launch or launches.
  • Creating and maintaining product marketing and sales enablement collateral for the TDF and private market ranges including pitch presentations, brochures, client communications, Q&As, educational content, thought leadership and websites.
  • Integrating these product marketing deliverables into channel marketing plans. Working with the DC Channel Marketing Manager to deliver the range of content described above, in a way that supports the broader DC channel marketing strategy across a range of disciplines (PR, brand, content, digital, events).
  • Supporting and/or delivering marketing projects as required
  • Supporting the delivery of regulatory projects as they pertain to product marketing. This will include ensuring that LGIM’s marketing materials adhere to evolving regulatory requirements, as well as triaging the impact of new and changing regulations on marketing.
  • Ensuring all product marketing campaigns have clear measurements and KPIs and report back on campaign results.
  • Campaign benchmarking: Proactively research competitor campaigns, including their trade press advertising and web activity, and recommend ideas, enhancements where appropriate.
  • Materials governance: When working on all communications, work with key stakeholders (Compliance, marketing teams and distribution) to ensure that all work is delivered in a cost effective and timely fashion in line with brand and compliance guidelines. Observe good practice in relation to Treating Customers Fairly and Consumer Duty, and ensure promotions deliver Regulatory and Data Protection requirements.

 

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Strong experience developing product-specific messaging and content for institutional / pension scheme investors  
  • Experience of promoting the launch of new funds/strategies, demonstrating innovation and commercial awareness
  • Strong knowledge of investment strategies and markets, including multi-asset strategies and alternatives / private markets
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create compelling marketing communications
  • A strong understanding of investment management businesses and the competitor landscape
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment. The ability to be a self-starter with outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to be a team player, willing to get involved in all aspects of the business
