The Role

Cloudmark is the Service Provider division of Proofpoint Inc.  Cloudmark provides Message Protection Solutions to over 1.5 billion people globally. We protect the messaging infrastructure of more than 150 tier-one internet and mobile service providers worldwide.  We are expanding our sales and are looking for a Senior Sales Executive to help drive new business.  The chosen candidate will be a seasoned veteran of the Telecommunications and Mobile industry, having relationships with many people in the messaging space.  You will be able to work contracts from start to finish and bring in large value deals for our company.

Your day-to-day

  • Owns the Sales Cycle and resources for the opportunities in which they are involved. 
  • Qualifies and validates opportunities, creates and delivers winning strategies and customer account plans to ensure that Proofpoint’s technology is selected in the sales cycle. 
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

What you bring to the team

  • Experience of selling Technical solutions in to Service Providers as an individual contributor.
  • You have the ability to handle technical details at meetings on your own and articulate how our products work from the C-Level to the working Level.
  • You are comfortable selling solution-oriented packages that satisfy our customer needs.
  • You are a customer advocate with great people skills to build long-term relationships.
  • You have a proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value.
  • Great salespeople are meticulous in nature, goals-oriented, and love to close deals. 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.
  • Experience with Salesforces preferred
  • BA/BS in an Engineering Field, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, required.
