Job Description
Position Overview:
As the Head of Commercial Department at McLedger, you will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial activities of the organization. You will oversee the sales, marketing, and business development functions, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives. Your strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and business acumen will be instrumental in shaping the commercial strategy and ensuring the department's success.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define pricing strategies, sales targets, and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to optimize the commercial strategy.
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead the sales team, setting clear goals and targets, and providing guidance and support to achieve them.
- Drive the development and execution of sales plans, ensuring consistent growth in revenue and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to expand the company's customer base and market reach.
Marketing and Brand Management:
- Oversee the marketing team in developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all marketing materials and channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the company's brand positioning and messaging.
- Monitor marketing trends and adjust strategies to maximize brand visibility and customer engagement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide strong leadership to the commercial department, fostering a high-performance culture and motivating team members.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Identify training and development needs, and implement programs to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.
- Foster effective cross-functional collaboration and communication within the commercial department and with other departments.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the commercial department and monitor progress towards goals.
- Analyze sales and market data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting commercial activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong business acumen and a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving commercial targets.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop and execute effective commercial strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
