About the Role:

The person in this role supports the delivery of all indirect tax compliance across Britvic’s Uk, Irish and International entities as well as leading process and efficiency improvements and delivery indirect tax advice and support to the business. 

The role:
●    Manages the production of the indirect tax returns across GB, Ireland and International entities as required
●    Reviews all indirect tax returns to ensure they are complete and accurate
●    Leads process and control improvements across indirect tax processes in the Group
●    Provides guidance, training and Indirect Tax support across all Finance Teams
●    Provides advice to the business on indirect tax matters and projects as required

Key Responsibilities:
Periodic
●    Producing the detailed analysis behind the Indirect tax returns including VAT, sugar levy and plastic packaging tax across UK, Ireland and Netherlands
●    Reviews of the Indirect tax return for technical final approval 
●    Monitoring and managing areas of indirect tax risk 
●    Overseeing the posting and reviewing indirect tax journals
●    Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations over indirect tax accounts
●    Oversees the preparation and submission of the Intrastat returns across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Netherlands
●    Forecasting of VAT and other indirect taxes in GB, Ireland, Holland
●    Supports Head of Indirect on key project work
●    Supports the business on customs formalities and advice

Audit and control
●    Identify opportunities and owning the delivery of process improvements to improve efficiency and control
●    Lead the provision of supporting materials for external audit of indirect tax returns
●    Responsible for providing additional material for any required indirect tax audits
●    Perform user acceptance testing during system upgrades 
●    Responsible for ongoing training on Indirect Tax across Finance

Other
●    Line management of 3 indirect tax analysts and responsible for their performance and development
●    Supporting the delivery of Britvic’s customs processes including Inward Processing to ensure compliance and correct duty treatment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

●    Strong understanding of relevant indirect taxes
●    Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleagues

●    Essential Systems experience:
o    Advanced Excel, MS Office, (SAP: Highly desirable)

●    Desirable systems experience:
o    BPC, SAP-BW, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Qualifications:

●    ATT, CTA or equivalent
