We have an Area Manager opportunity available looking after our Niche brands Dries Van Noten, Christian Louboutin Beauty, Kama Ayurveda and L'Artisan Parfumeur wholesale sites across the UK. The majority of sites are located in the South and London, but there are some sites located regionally that would require travel to. The role is responsible for overall management of the retail business for the sites, ensuring delivery of sales, profitability, KPI goals and business objectives.
• Set and achieve sales and profitability targets for the area, continuously motivating the retail teams to meet assigned sales, productivity and KPI goals
• Ensure team members maintain constant client communication using clienteling and CRM and are actively building database, using information to increase sales and build customer loyalty
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Marketing to identify and implement local and region-specific marketing opportunities to raise brand awareness to drive sales growth, maximise opportunities and grow regional market customer base
• Ensure sales teams maximise profitability through commercial stock management, visual merchandising, replenishment and adhering to policies and procedures
• Manage and control profitability ensuring that the gross profit margin and EBITDA targets are met
• Support the development of team’s product knowledge and sales techniques using the company service steps to ensure consistency delivery of exceptional customer service
• Ensure the team provide the highest level of customer service in line with the company service steps offering a unique and personalised experience, including fragrance profiling
• Collaborate with Marketing to manage and execute special customer events, new products launches and centre/in store events
• Lead and inspire your teams by example, having an active role in store on the sales floor during regular visits
• Develop a culture of individual accountability, with a focus on achievement & performance, behaviours and compliance to policies and procedures
• Recruit the best talent, with a a clear succession plan for key roles across your area
• Keep up to date of market trends and competitor activity and share knowledge with the teams
• Previous experience as a Regional/Area Manager leading a team in a multi-site, fast-paced environment, ideally in department stores with an understanding of wholesale retail
• Confident in leading and developing managers and teams
• Commerciality and proven history of driving sales and maintaining profitability
• The ability to analyse business performance and drive KPIs with a view to grow sales
• The ability to create and maintain a luxury service experience
• Good people skills with emphasis on leading and building teams and fostering cross functional relationships
• Proactive with a strong sense of autonomy
• Action oriented and able to distance manage effectively with strong ER experience
