Functional area: Engineering
Our Portfolio Management & Delivery team within RWE Offshore Wind is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to provide improvement across our operating assets, by developing and delivering O&M concepts and fleetwide projects (including commercial, engineering, operational, organizational, contractual and risk and opportunities).
Your tasks:
- Responsible for developing, planning and delivering strategic operational concepts for our offshore wind farms
- Project Management function; advising projects on specific and special issues
- Development of operational readiness plans to meet the forecasted growth and deliver fleetwide projects to support the strategy
- Lead and evaluate design concepts, technical solutions and risks and develop decision papers for technical and commercial decisions
- Close alignment & collaboration with the offshore operations teams to continuously identify optimization potential and develop operational growth
- Employ project management and stakeholder management methodology to track and report progress through standardised governance structures
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop working relationships, ensuring effective and timely delivery of fleetwide projects
- Responsible for sharing best practices through dedicated formats and forums
Your profile:
- University degree in Engineering or Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant study (preferably Masters) with solid years of professional experience in the utility or wind energy industry
- Relevant professional experience and above-average expertise in the construction, functioning and operation of wind farms and their components
- Project Management skills and experience in the technical management of project teams and supervision of employees
- Advanced experience with MS Office (proved focus on Excel and Power Point), experience with data visualization tools beneficial (especially Tableau)
- Great communication skills and experience in working in international teams, high flexibility and initiative when working on new tasks
- Excellent analytical skills, high degree of resilience and solution-oriented mind-set
- Business fluent English skills is a prerequisite (German or other languages are beneficial)
- Willingness to travel
