Main Purpose of the Role
A new role within the Facility Management team providing professional client side technical and engineering expertise is required. Responsible for ensuring compliance obligations are adhered to and advised upon across a significant and diverse RWE UK property portfolio.
Experience of lifecycle of assets within the estate, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated management system for safety, facility, and environmental management.
Coordinate with outsourced facility management providers and client side Facility Management to ensure seamless delivery of services and adherence to contractual obligations.
Responsible for client side interest on projects in the UK and internationally, accountable for technical input to the planning and implementation phases on a global basis.
Key Responsibilities
Operate audit technical program for RWET UK distributed office/workshop portfolio to ensure RWE as lease holder and RWE as the occupier are fulfilling their statutory compliance obligations or testing the regimes of the owner operators of those sites
At least 5 years’ experience of managing a technical programme on a similar and diverse property portfolio.
Understand the portfolio and be able to assess the key risks for the business.
Provide support for the FM team on technical audits of the outsourced service provider
Expected to take the lead in providing advice and support on technical issues and manage the resolution of problems.
Provide the client side team with unbiased technical and engineering expertise
As required by the business via meetings & reports.
Act as subject matter expert in the support of capital planning, building life cycle and forward maintenance regimes
At least 5 years’ experience in this type of industry role.
Demonstrate a consistent level of professionalism, effective timely communication and professional relationship management at all times
Member of a Professional Body.
Maintain properties at a level appropriate to their required operational use and to ensure lease obligations are adhered to
To work closely with the general practice surveyors within the team to ensure lease obligations and dilapidations are effectively managed.
Act as Technical Lead in support of the Real Estate Team on acquisitions and disposals of property
Ensure all property matters are appropriately dealt with to maximise value to the business and/or minimise risks.
Be accountable for the teams technical contribution to UK international projects to include the development of a standardized approach to meeting RWE office estate standards
Compliance matters dealt with in accordance with local and international laws and standards.

Definition of scope of work.
Select and manage 3rd party consultants/contractors.
