Due to an internal promotion we're currently looking to recruit an Engineering Planning Supervisor to support our Engineering teams in the South Wales and South West region. Based from either Cardiff or Newport you'll oversee a team of three in ensuring that all maintenance works are effectively planned and communicated across the team. We use Mainsaver as our CMMS and you should have experience of using a similar package, and should have a strong grounding in engineering ideally in a heavy industrial environment. Working closely with the supervisors on site, as well as our asset managers you'll have demonstrable experience of improving planning strategy and be comfortable managing a team.

Key Responsibilities
• Autonomy to make this role your own create robust capacity plans vs the maintenance demand across Wales and Southwest
• Co-operate closely with other departments and contractors, liaising with operations and marine to maximise cross departmental efficiency with best-in-class planning.
• To work in a safe and methodical manner to ABP’s Safe Systems of Work and take an active part in risk assessment reviews where required.
• Understand, work to and issue ABP’s Permit to Work system and contractor management process (Following training).
• Be the responsible person within the Divisional team for the management and up keep of the CMMS system (Mainsaver), ensuring data is accurate, efficient and meets job needs.
• Working alongside the asset management team to undertake periodic reviews of O&M manuals and ensure we are proving the correct levels on maintenance on or assets based on usage.
• Lead on Plant utilisation projects which help shape how,why,when we maintain our equipment.
• Line management responsibility for Engineering planner, co-ordinator and Stores person
• Assist Engineering Supervisors when planning Capital project work – to create deliverable work programs and assist with project management requirements as required.
• To work with the Engineering Manager and Supervisors to optimise and refine maintenance routines.
• To ensure that all planned work has been risk assessed by the appropriate individual(s) as part of ‘up front’ maintenance planning work packs.
Skills & Experience
• Experience of engineering preventative maintenance practices in heavy industry, ideally previously in a planning or scheduling capacity
• Competent in IT systems and productivity software
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Have a flexible approach to service delivery.
• A desire to help develop the role to best meet the requirements of ABP and customers.
• Full UK driving Licence.
• Experience working with CMMS system - Mainsaver (Ideal)
