As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.

There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for an Associate Product Owner to join our Customer Experience team within our On Trade business.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Digital Products, we are looking for an energetic and driven individual to join our team as a Product Owner Associate. In this position, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners to facilitate the advancement and implementation of our product roadmap, enhancing customer experiences and contributing to business growth. Your responsibilities will include gathering and prioritizing requirements, aiding in user research and testing, fostering collaboration across various teams, and ensuring that product initiatives are in line with the company's strategic objectives

The Associate Product Owner role requires strong stakeholder management, supporting the Product Owner in managing relationships with key stakeholders and keeping them informed about product status and roadmap  progress. You’ll collaborate with the Product Owner to define and prioritise product features and enhancements based on stakeholder feedback, user experimentation results, market research, and business goals.

Although you’ll be supporting the Product Owner, you’ll also be working with key stakeholders across the On-Trade and spending time understanding our customers’ needs and pain points. External to the team you’ll be required to work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, UX design, and QA, to ensure timely delivery of product releases.

Other role responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing data and user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and optimization
  • Assisting the creation and maintaining the product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
  • Assisting Product Owner in managing product development on time, scope and budget.
  • Support the creation and ongoing management of Product Owner competencies, tooling and WOW (ways of working).

Who we’re looking for
You’re preferably an experienced Associate Product Owner or Business Analyst with a proven background in Product Ownership; developing products in an agile environment and working alongside development teams, creating user stories, sprinting and testing.

You’ll have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs.

We are ideally looking for someone with experience in:

  • Working in a User Research and User Experience Design environment
  • Applying Agile methodologies, preferably as part of a Scrum team (Agile certifications are helpful)
  • Working with remote teams (onshore and offshore)
  • Delivering processes to enable change and deliver value
  • Applying their continuous improvement mindset in everything they do

We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked regarding skillsets.

Our Ways of Working
Heineken’s Global Purpose is to “brew the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a better world” and to fulfil this we believe in working closely with each other and collaborating f2f when we can.  To enable this, we ask colleagues to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and one other day of the colleague’s choice.

Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • An annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

The Application
If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply as soon as possible. We may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example, if you require information in different formats, or if you have any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes – please feel free to get in touch with us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.
