Broad Function
Responsible for covering all the Departments planning, purchasing, forecasting, data entry, stock control, Quality and all Supplier activities for the Inventory and General stock items, within the Warehouse & Distribution function.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Using electronic stock system (PAS-X & GP), maintain minimum stock levels and ensuring purchase orders are in place to support the MPS, Development or any other requirements. Provide month end discard information for cost accounting and stock reconciliation.
2. Responsible for maintenance stock levels for all raw materials applying Lean principles and techniques to the stock holding strategy to maximise stock turnover whilst minimising stock out issues and obsolescence.
3. Continually keep up to date all inventory stock records, quality systems, Stores Excel and associated Great Plains Inventory systems.
4. Communicate and maintain all Inventory and General Purchase Order requirements to suppliers and expedite/defer overdue orders as applicable, following Financial and Quality procedures.
5. To follow Health and Safety guidelines and procedures as issued by the company.
6. Issue Suppliers schedules, forecasts, and manage consignment stock ensuring good communications between both parties.
7. Support Department Quality compliance activities by ensuring SOP, Change controls, Audits, Events, Work instructions, 6S programs and other Quality requirements are highlighted for completion by agreed dates. Support Change Controls, Quality Events, Quality documents and Validation documents.

Education and Experience
1. Ideally educated to HND/C or degree standard and / or with extensive experience in similar role.
2. IT literate with Microsoft experience.

3. Numerate, methodical with a high level of attention to detail
4. Strong organisational skills with an ability to plan ahead and handle several activities at once.
