What you’ll do (the role)
Summary
The Community Engagement Manager will be instrumental in delivering Lightsource bp’s engagement strategy at a project level within the UK and Ireland.
The local communities in which we operate are at the core of our business and we believe that meaningful and enduring relationships with these communities is the key to delivering projects and facilitating the clean energy transition. You will be instrumental in the facilitation and maintenance of these relationships.
In addition to leading project level community engaging in the UK and Ireland, you will also support the Head of Community Engagement in the development of LSbp’s EMEA community engagement strategy and training programmes. You will also work closely with our Marketing and Communications department, Government Affairs team, and the UK and Ireland Environmental & Social Planning and Business Development teams, in addition to collaborating with other teams such as Design, Construction, Asset Management, Power Marketing and Structured Finance. The role will comprise a combination of external and internal engagement to ensure alignment across the business.
You will also be part of the wider global community of environmental and social affairs professionals at Lightsource bp, with the opportunity to get involved in regional and company level initiatives that interest you.
