As an Public Affairs Intern, your role will be centered around public affairs and stakeholder engagement, forming a crucial part of our strategy. You'll be involved in both reactive and proactive efforts at Ferrero, working to strengthen our relationships and uphold our reputation within the community and beyond.
As a Public Affairs Intern at Ferrero, you will undertake a crucial role within the Public Affairs (PA) team, providing comprehensive support that spans various critical areas. Your responsibilities will include direct assistance to both the Public Affairs Manager and the broader PA team, ensuring smooth operations and effective strategy implementation.
A key part of your role will involve monitoring activities within the UK Houses of Parliament, UK government and its agencies, political parties, think tanks, NGOs, and pressure groups, providing timely updates to the team. You'll also engage in stakeholder engagement efforts, which include drafting correspondence with parliamentarians, engaging with parliamentary offices, and supporting the team in the rollout of Public Affairs programs and activities.
Additionally, you will be responsible for producing weekly reports that highlight political and media developments, offering valuable insights to the business. Your involvement in managing Ferrero's UK Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program will also be crucial, as will your support in maintaining relationships with key external partners, including NGOs.
Organising Public Affairs events, attending vital internal and external meetings, and working closely with Ferrero's appointed Public Affairs agency will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will assist with various administrative tasks within Public Affairs, playing a supportive role in the team's overall success. Your efforts will be instrumental in strengthening Ferrero's public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies.

You should excel at organising your tasks effectively and thrive in a team setting daily, all while maintaining a dynamic and positive attitude and handling confidential information with discretion.
Ideally as an applicant you will be a recent graduate, or a individual taking a gap year, or a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Engineering, or related disciplines field.
Key to this role is exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to interact seamlessly with a wide array of people. Have a positive outlook, proactive nature, be highly motivated and possess a real passion for Ferrero will be pivotal.
