About the Role
This is an exciting leadership role, defining the direction of the account and realising ambitious growth targets. You will be part of a fast-growing team and responsible for the day-to-day running of the account as well as leading network management and governance across EMEA and APAC regions. You will develop integrated communication approaches in partnership with the lead strategist, performance team, and markets to help Ring deliver brand and business objectives, and ensure the team works effectively & efficiently. You will quickly develop a deep understanding across all relevant areas of Ring's business and marketing objectives and unlock opportunities for the agency, while strengthening our client partnerships.
Drives the overall team performance - including understanding the performance of local markets, identifying challenges and resolving or working with senior management to enhance for the betterment of the business.
You will be a line manager and mentor to more junior members of the team, a source of inspiration and direction for local markets and will help deliver on Ring's ambitions.
You will be up-to-date with developments within all media relevant to Ring, and broader communications developments in the industry and pro-actively recommend ways to incorporate new ways of thinking into the work and new opportunities for out of scope projects which will deliver greater value for Ring.
The role covers two key remits:
Client leadership: driving regional excellence and local business growth – you will be the single point of contact for the regional clients and a sparring partner to the heads of marketing across various disciplines. You will be their senior point of contact for the region and ensure global strategy and plans are effectively deployed.
Network governance: driving regional network capability and efficiency – you will plug into the wider teams, capabilities, and markets and lead output as a collective, delivering efficiency in WoW, learnings across local markets, thought leadership and innovation across product, capabilities and planning.
About You
Client leadership: driving regional and local business growth
You will be a leader and drive the overall region(s) performance. This will include understanding the performance of local markets, identifying challenges, and resolving or working with senior management to resolve
In essence you will deliver quality output for the business and will work closely with client central and local marketing leads, while bringing local/ regional learning back into the centre to support international thinking.
You will have a strong background in a global and or regional role, along with experience working with senior client stakeholders and key local markets across several territories.
You will understand client's priorities and challenges and make sure that the work delivered by the team meets these objectives
You will work with local markets to understand local client priorities and ensure any nuances are considered with central delivery.
You will work with the account leads (e.g., Managing partner, strategy lead, performance lead) to ensure ambitions are translated to regional and local plans and then delivered to the highest quality.
Network governance: driving network capability and efficiency
Operational and network leadership of the region(s), streamlining all workstreams and connecting team members to enable a smooth and efficient operation of the account.
Lead annual regional and local market roadmap and laydown – identify key workstreams and work with relevant team members to drive them.
You will proactively identify workstreams to support both local team members to deliver work and help ensure the quality of the work is to best in class standard
Transformation plans for your region and markets.
Summits with key stakeholders and local markets – organise, run, and produce actionable outcomes.
Drive the OMD local market community – to enable collaboration, best practice sharing, and communication.
