Job Descrption
The role requires several years of experience managing Programmatic brand activity and experience of team management. The ideal candidate will be confident managing client relationships and managing a team towards the goal of driving results and insight for the client. They will also be process orientated with experience of using tools & tech to manage activation for complex, multi-market client structures.
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Digital Manager is integrated into all aspects of Biddable media & wider Programmatic marketing & Ad Tech practices for the client and its many products across European markets. Additional responsibilities will include supporting a junior team with planning, optimization, reporting and task/communication organization. The focus will be on delivering Brand results against the Strategy & Planning team goals, but working with a wider performance team on requirements in social, PPC, display & video. There will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to learn other channel specialisms for a more rounded biddable outlook.

Team Management
Support the Associate Director in managing a team of 1-2 juniors.
Be responsible for your team’s output, acting as the escalation point when required
Lead PDP reviews and goal setting for your team
Contributing to the PHD company culture, whether it’s writing POVs, participating in our charity events, or sharing your latest Excel trick
Working with junior members of the team to upskill them on Programmatic & Social activation and other relevant areas
Strategic Account Management
Lead day to day communication between the agency, our brand planning team and client stakeholders
Deliver Brand-led programmatic media planning, making recommendations for YouTube, Connected TV and impactful/ premium buys
Work with your team to produce and present scheduled reporting requirements
Uncover and understand client objectives, challenges, and needs in order to actively provide solutions across Programmatic. Example of solutions include: Reporting Dashboards and Templates, Forecasting Methodology, Paid Media Integration with other activity, Best Practice documents, POV’s on the latest industry developments, or Optimization Roadmaps
Deliver highly bespoke curation in controlled programmatic environments working directly with SSPs to delivery premium and optimised brand ativity
Create & maintain a framework for Quarterly Business Reviews
Be the point person for best-in class optimisation, testing and measurement projects.
Drive the testing & innovation agenda, ensuring that the client is at the forefront of programmatic buying
Be the point person for new programmatic capability integration into existing process and setup
Campaign Management/Optimization
Provide Digital Leadership including status updates on Programmatic deliverables on a regular basis, including management of deadlines and reporting
Managing the creation of integrated digital media plans based off a sound technical understanding of the digital eco-system and available platforms
Helping identify new platforms and/ or ad products for your client
Work with your team to track and manage media budgets
Conduct analysis of ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights to help meet and exceed client goals
Work with your team to deliver business goals (i.e. ROI/budget/traffic)
Assisting junior members of the team with their campaign activation, optimization and reporting
Have a point of view on best in class measurement solutions to apply to your campaigns
Maintain consistently high standards within the team for data accuracy & reporting
Experience and Skills:
Experience working in Programmatic and/or Social planning and/or activation
Demonstrate passion and knowledge of the Programmatic & Ad Tech and/or Social channel
Team Management experience and a passion for developing people
Have a passion for learning new things and delivering successful projects
Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
Ability to manage challenges of various clients and market interests in a culturally sensitive manner
Have excellent numerical skills and confidence analysing data using Excel
Be a proactive self-starter
Have excellent communication and listening skills
Be responsive to feedback
Strong spoken & written English
Ability to speak other European languages is desired, but not essential
