Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the PUI team in Europe ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
Supports a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Assists in the management of a portfolio of corporate clients and structured financings in the PUI sectors to reach pre-agreed targets in terms of revenues (interest and non-interest), returns, asset and client number growth, and credit quality.
Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.
Contributes to a high performance environment and fosters an inclusive work environment; supporting the vison/values/business strategy for the team.
Assists Director and other team members in structuring, analyzing and performing due diligence on transactions that vary in complexity
Develop recommendations for the appropriate course of action and prepares credit submissions and supporting materials for adjudication by Global Risk Management
Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with clients, lenders and legal counsel
Coordinate with various product groups within GBM, including the Global Loan Syndications team
Expand industry and product knowledge
Ensure credit files, agreements and security documents are complete and up to date
Participate in marketing efforts with Directors/MDs and Global Loan Syndications including delivery of marketing pitches.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Education / Experience
Undergraduate / Bachelors degree
must have a good knowledge and experience in Infrastructure lending
Strong knowledge of documentation (including acquisition finance), due diligence skills and industry trends within the PUI sectors in UK / Europe
Knowledge of key players within the PUI sector including Sponsors, Legal Firms, Advisors, Due Diligence Providers
Self-motivated, results focused, team player with strong learning ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare complete credit presentations
Previous corporate banking or credit analysis experience viewed as a positive
Strong financial modelling skills and accounting knowledge
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
