Do you have a generalist background covering all aspects of HR including recruitment, Employee Relations and Performance Management? Are you CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification? If so Steris are looking for an HR Advisor to work alongside the Regional HR Manager to provide support and advice to multiple locations across our North East Region. In this role you will be advising and coaching managers on all aspects of operational HR-related issues.
You will travel to multiple sites across the region including Leicester, Sheffield, Derby, Lincoln, Grimsby and Chesterfield. This is a key role in the HR Team and provides a genuine opportunity for the right individual to develop themselves and the range and quality of service provided to the business.

As HR Advisor you will partner with managers and employees at various levels in the business to provide HR support and solutions.
Working in conjunction with the relevant HR Manager and Business Partner you will make routine decisions independently and effectively prioritize work. You will interpret policies and procedures and apply these to real-life situations. You will be responsible for independently addressing more complicated and impactful employee issues and proposing solutions. You will work at a tactical level, beginning to understand business strategies and aligning your work in support of these goals.
The tactical areas of focus will include, Performance Management, Recruitment, Employee Relations, supporting the HR Leadership Team, undertaking HR research, project support, reporting analytics, championing HR initiatives, support workforce planning, employee engagement and communication initiatives, preparation and issue of employee contractual documentation, facilitate HR orientation and other HR training sessions.
Experience in operating in a multi-site capacity.
A demonstratable working knowledge of employment law, performance management and employee relations practices.
Ability to work well in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
Adaptable, motivated, proactive, and able to offer practical solutions.
Flexible to travel and likes to be challenged.
Possession of or working towards the attainment of CIPD qualifications would be preferred.
Must hold full drivers licence
