Working Pattern
Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week on:
Monday and Tuesday at 13:00-21:00,
Wednesday to Friday at 7:00-15:00.
What is involved?
Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
Rigorously checking instruments, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments in trays to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment used in the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments.
Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.

Required Experience
Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system.
