Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland and supplies goods to over 450 stores across various brands such as SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. We source from local farmers, growers and producers and are proud to contribute to our local economy and environment. Working as part of the Henderson Wholesale Team, you will provide efficient and effective assistance to the various warehouse functions to provide high service to our customers.
Working as a Warehouse Operative (Loading) you will:
• Ensure all vehicles are loaded correctly and accurately, using the voice loading system, or the loading manifest provided.
• Ensure all returned goods are brought to the designated returns area.
• Report any damaged goods or cages missed at the time of loading.
• Identify unsuitable cage builds, including issues with weight, food safety and poor wrapping, providing feedback to the loading team leader.
• Report labelling issues impacting the accuracy of sequenced loading, and delivery to customer.
• Check all trailers have sufficient and safe load lock straps, stop plates, side plates and are loaded correctly. Check that appropriate temperature of vehicle has been selected.
• Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Ensure to correctly wear the job specific PPE provided at all times.
• Ensure maintenance issues are communicated to Team Leader with regards to equipment/vehicle faults.
• Ensure all voice loading equipment, namely Epods and Headsets, are returned to the storage and charging point at end of shift.
Skills for Success
Joining us as a Warehouse Operative, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
• Previous experience of voice loading.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Previous roll cage experience.
The Attributes you’ll need include:
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Highly focused on customer service.
• Commitment to maintaining warehouse standards.
It is desirable if you have:
• An electric pallet truck licence.
• Experience operating tail lifts and manual handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
• GCSE's Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).

• This position involves working 38 hours per week, lates.
• Start time 11:45am to 9.45pm and Friday 11:45 to 11:45pm).
• Rotational shift pattern to be discussed at interview and confirmed at job offer stage.
• Flexibility is required with regards to hours of work.
