The successful candidate will support the Newport site Production units and will report to the Project Team Manager.
The ideal candidate will:
The role is varied and no two days tend to be the same. Typical tasks will include:
• Plant modifications and improvements, including Management of Change
• Driving, supporting and monitoring safety improvement programs
• Daily and monthly monitoring of production and quality performance
• Writing and updating operating instructions
• Process control and optimisation
• Close working with the production department and other site groups
• Functional safety testing and involvement in shutdowns
• Troubleshooting and use of techniques such as root cause analysis (RCA)
• Minor project design and plant commissioning
• RM and Energy monitoring, identification and implementation of improvements
• Participation in improvement teams such as 6 Sigma
• Cost reduction initiatives
• Leading safety reviews, risk assessments, participating in PHRs, LOPAs
• Process alarm management
• Incident reporting and investigation
• Communication with offsite agencies such as the HSE and NRW
• Routine use of SAP.
