Summary

Provides oversight, planning, and operational and maintenance services to manage SRP’s groundwater recharge program along with providing technical support on SRP hydrogeologic-related studies and activities.

Responsible for budgets, schedules, and management of water resource initiatives. Requires confidentiality, ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and capacity to develop and maintain contacts with suppliers and service providers.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present complex hydrogeologic and operational information to broad audiences, including upper management.

***Occasional travel to professional meetings may be required.***

What You'll Do

  • Coordinates and oversees all phases of SRP’s groundwater recharge programs including permitting, operating, and maintaining facilities.  
  • Responsible for budgets, invoices, schedules, and management of water resource initiatives and SRP’s recharge projects. 
  • Supports joint groundwater planning and recharge activities with other entities. 
  • Assists with the administration and oversight of work performed by consultants and others. 
  • Assists with SRP's involvement in regional water resource planning activities.  Applies water resource expertise to develop recommendations that align with SRP’s business strategies. 
  • Prepares and conducts written and oral reports and presentations for wide and varied audiences. 
  • Provides critical review of technical reports, policies, and information to support responses to legal or regulatory issues. 
  • Collects field data and closely monitors recharge facility basin utilization and basin infiltration rates.  Develops proactive recharge facility maintenance plans using data-driven strategies and performance metrics. 

What It Takes To Succeed

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
