Job Descrption
Basic Function
Serves as the subject matter expert to METRO customers visiting the RideStores, the METRO Online Store, retail partners and/or the Fannin South parking lot. Assist in producing daily reports for each RideStore locations. Assist with fare media transactions, customer information and other inquiries regarding METRO. Work in collaboration with leadership and other team members to reach departmental goals. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties
Serves as the Senior Associate to effectively assist customers and departments across the organization to achieve desired outcomes by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions.
Assists patrons with fare media transitions, customer information, and other inquiries regarding METRO.
Process fare media transactions of Q Cards, Day Passes, and other METRO fare media in person and the on-line RideStore.
Operate Patron Management and APOS applications for daily transactions.
Assists supervisor by verifying and balancing daily inventory and fare media transactions at open and close of business.
Takes the lead role in ensuring daily transactions and till funds are reconciled accurately.
Ensure proper documentation is provided for discounted fare media.
Responsible for gathering sales information and submitting the daily sales productivity reports to upper management.
Process online or mail-in requests for METRO fare media orders.
Receive orders for METRO money by phone and online and distribute to non-profit agencies.
Complete and process daily transactions spreadsheets.
Participate in METRO special events and other outreach activities as needed.
Provides excellent customer service to METRO internal and external customers.
Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school or GED required.
Years & Experience Required
Minimum four (4) years of retail experience and/or related customer service experience. Experience working in a multifunctional team environment.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members. Skills in analyzing complex problems, evaluating alternatives, making creative recommendations and implementing solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
