Job Summary:
As a Machine Operator for Materne, North America located in Nampa, ID you will be responsible for the operation of machinery on our high speed production and food processing lines.
Shifts: A, B, C, D
A Shift: Sunday - Tuesday with EOW from 7am - 7pm
B Shift: Sunday - Tuesday with EOW from 7pm - 7am
C Shift: Thursday - Saturday with EOW from 7am - 7pm
D Shift: Thursday - Saturday with EOW from 7pm - 7am
Position Responsibilities:
End Of Line Operator - A, B, C, D
- Operate high-speed packaging and palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of cases selected for different size formats
- Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
- Load packaging materials into packaging machine and palletizing machine
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
- Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
- Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity, and quality
- Operate industrial carts and power hand carts
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging and palletizing area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours
Bossar Operator - A, B, C, D
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
- Document all necessary supply inventories
- Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
- Must work a minimum of 12 hours
- Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture
Tetrapak Operator - A, B, C, D
- Operation of Tetra Pak machine – mixing of materials and products
- Load ingredients into Tetra Pak machine according to Materne’s specifications.
- Work with computer interface to monitor equipment
- Read schematics and diagrams to monitor machine activity (flow, machine status, temperature settings, level indication)
- Testing of PH levels, viscosity levels, brix levels, flavor additives using quality devices
- Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
- Receive / inspect materials and accept or reject based on Materne’s specifications
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Detect equipment problems and troubleshoot
- Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and hi-lo’s
- Inspect product as it moves through manufacturing process for quality
- Complete paperwork and document down time
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (8-12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Technical / Trade School preferred
Experience
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills
- Basic Math skills
- Competency with weights and measures
