Role overview
Carlsberg Export&License has an innovative growth strategy in Middle East & Africa and is looking for an individual with proven project, marketing and sales skills. You will be responsible for supporting the profitability and volume growth of our highly successful portfolio of global and local brands in close cooperation with the local partners in the Sub-Sahara markets.
What you’ll be doing
You are offered an opportunity to support and facilitate the long-term profitable growth of our business in the region. Together with your internal stakeholders within Carlsberg Export&License and Carlsberg Group and with our local partners, you will be responsible for developing & driving some of CE&L’s export and license projects in the MEA region.
One of the key responsibilities will be to drive our ‘new bizz’ agenda for the region, meaning building substantial brand positions in geographies where we are not sufficiently present today. This access to market can happen in a number of ways, but it will be the responsibility of the RM for SSA to identify partners, develop (with internal stakeholders) business cases with a variety of RTM options, and lastly drive through agenda on substantially increasing Carlsberg’s presence in SSA region.
In addition, you will have the responsibilities for proposing budget, facilitating brand planning process, securing brand asset toolkits and local adaptation, managing sourcing/export workstreams and innovation projects, ensuring contract negotiation with support from our legal team, facilitation of reporting, etc.
What we’re looking for
We expect you to combine a Bachelors-degree / master-degree within Sales & Marketing with 3-5 years of Business Management ideally with a couple of year’s experience within Beverage or FMCG business in a similar role.
You ideally have a proven network in the region to be able to immediately engage and initiate step change projects for your region.
As a person, you have a positive mindset, are proficient in communication, empathic, creative. You are also motivated, very action/result orientated and possess analytical skills.
You are effective at building partnership relations and possess good negotiation skills. You are a collaborative across functions with proven strategic sales/marketing and project management competencies.
You have a high work capacity with a low stress level. You are fluent in English and speaking French would be a favorable point. You can travel between a minimum of 50 days a year.
