We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work autonomously and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of wind farm construction projects by overseeing all the commercial aspects of project delivery
Whilst no two days are the same your key responsibilities will be to:
- Represent the Company as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions and manage contract negotiations.
- Monitor project financial performance, including tracking costs, forecasting, and budget management.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to clients and manage cash flow.
- Interpret and analyse complex contracts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage claims against or from customers and suppliers, ensuring they are resolved in a fair and timely manner.
- Pursue insurance claims related to wind farm construction projects.
- Collaborate with Project Managers , Site Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
To succeed you will have the following:
- Educated to Degree level in Quantity Surveying but other disciplines such as project management, construction and engineering would be considered
- Proven experience in commercial project management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law and the ability to interpret and analyse complex contracts.
- Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in using Advance Excel and SAP/SAP BI Tools.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Bonus points if you have knowledge of the construction Wind Farms
Please note the interview process is a two stage process. First interview online on 12th April. If successful to reach second stage it will be face to face interview at our head office in Didsbury on 18th & 19th April
