Over the past few years we have successfully supported Apprentices to achieve a relevant engineering qualification and secure a permanent position.
In conjunction with Carlise College we are offering the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Maintenance and operations Engineering Technician
What will I get involved with and be able to do by the end of the Apprenticeships?
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance according to Nordex manuals and regulations
Autonomously do simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault-finding
Carry out complex repair-processes in collaboration with the local technical support and lead technician
Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with sub-contractors
Carry out repair or exchange of main components in cooperation with the respective specialists (e.g. Gearbox)
Conduct all preparation work for all maintenance activities
Perform all work with high quality and
Perform all work with a high HSE focus by following all HSE regulations in place
Check PPE daily & weekly
Vehicle checks to ensure they are in good condition and road worthy
Responsible for good housekeeping at site to ensure that everyone can work in a safely following the appropriate site rules.
Report accurately and in due time: Safety observations, ADM data inputs, timekeeping, maintenance, repairs and SAP MI
Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site

To Succeed you will have the following:
Attained 5 qualifications at GCSE or equivalent and these should include Maths, English and Science.
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must reach minimum of 18 years of age by end of first year at the latest in order to work at heights (Global Wind Organisation requirement)
