We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Master Data Specialist to join our growing team.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for creating, maintenance, and data accuracy for all finished good items across Perfetti Van Melle platforms (SAP, HANA, PDM, 1WorldSync, etc). The incumbent will be a key SAP and PDM user with responsibility to engage corporate IT resources to optimize system performance and capabilities. This role owns the data publication process from SAP to 1WS to ensure accurate information is shared with our customers via the GDSN platform. This role will liaison with corporate IT to support the worldwide harmonization of global data (HANA). The incumbent will ensure PVM adheres to GS1 guidelines regarding GTIN Management, such as changes to dimensions, weights, counts, and product hierarchy.  This role collaborates with the Process & Technology and Package Engineering Teams to ensure accurate Nutritional and Allergen data is published, verify GTIN and barcode accuracy for all artwork.
Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensure complete and accurate data by managing Material Master and 1WorldSync; adhering to GS1 Standards while implementing new product launches
• Manage the Perfetti Van Melle USA & Canadian Global data harmonization initiative.
• Ensure data integrity for all FG items in SAP and 1WorldSync through data audits and customer scorecards
• Verify all artwork to ensure GTIN and barcode accuracy
• Manage and maintain BOMs and Routers for Perfetti Van Melle USA items
• Manage the creation and integrity of co-packed manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Directors and other key personnel to establish and develop data standards to enhance financial analysis.
• Manage obsolete items

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, SC, or Data Analytics required.
• 2+ years experience in a Master Data or similar role.
• Strong cross-functional working experience and communication skills.
• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills.
• SAP experience – Material Master preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and recommend solutions.
• Ability to collect and validate information to be entered into the Material Master.
• Manage the process for new product introduction and setup. Ensure data accuracy.
• Manage obsolete items and new item introduction.
• Research and answer questions related to data conflict.
• Cross functional communication regarding item status, Info Record, BOM and Router creation and maintenance, ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Provide key metrics tracking number of new items to market turnaround time.
• Clear understanding of SAP and GS1
