We are looking to recruit an exciting role within our IT security function for a Security Manager. This is an operationally focussed role which involves maintaining a high benchmark to assure colleagues only have appropriate access for their role, minimising the potential damage from cybersecurity incidents.

The successful candidate shall be able to work with minimal guidance in the Identity & Access Management field and will take accountability for the day-to-day operation of the Identity function.

The role is directly responsible for the people management of a team of 10 Identity Management Analysts, developing the skills within the team to ensure expertise are in place to operate Access Management controls across the business. This is a great role for someone looking to a step into a people management role with strategic responsibility for the team. This role contributes to strengthening our mutual choice for our customers, by providing secure technology platforms for our customers.

About the role

• You will have responsibility for the development of Access Management processes, procedures, tools, and metrics to ensure the function is operating optimally and within agreed SLAs.
• You will ensure the team have the skills to perform Access Management (Joiners, Movers, Leavers, Recertification, Privileged Access, additional access requests).
• You will recommend Identity enhancements and service improvements to help drive effective detection, containment and eradication of security threats.
• You will be responsible for owning the risks faced by your business area, managing the control framework, implementing and embedding all elements of the Risk Management System (RMS).
• You will develop and maintain a series of SLA’s, KPI’s & KRI’s to measure the performance of the Identity function.

About you

• You will be a strong people manager first and foremost, with experience of managing operational teams and the ability to inspire and develop them.
• You will have the ability to substitute for the Head of Department where necessary, communicating Identity Management issues to senior management, translating technical security risks into business problems.
• You will have an understanding of Identity Management methodologies used within Financial Services to meet regulatory obligations.
• You will have experience in managing supplier relationships, monitoring service levels to assure SLA’s are maintained.
• You will have experience working with external auditors, speaking confidently in the assurances we provide to evidence our maturity in Identity & Access Management.
