System, Sales & Design Support Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The successful Candidate will work within the System Sales & Design team as a specialist in heat pump systems. 
• Assist and support the sales teams and their customers with heat pump system designs and technical advice on the heat pump systems, accessories, controls & cylinders into the domestic & commercial sector of the HVAC market. 
• Communicate on a high-end technical sales level with the sales teams and people from all aspects of the industry including, contractors/installers, local authorities, specifiers/consulting engineers & end using clients. 
• Provide technical support to clients at specification & project design stage and to installers at installation / commissioning stage.
• A fundamental part of the role is to effectively communicate and understand the needs of customers and help to provide the technical & sales support that they need.
• The role can be home based if the Director is satisfied that the home facilities are suitable, however occasional attendance at Belper and other Vaillant offices in the UK will be required. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• Educated to at least a practical qualification, e.g. City & Guilds Craft Certificate in an HVAC engineering discipline. 
• You have a good understanding of products and processes in this specialist market sector. 
• Working knowledge of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme would be an advantage. 
• Highly motivated and technically competent in the domestic renewable heating sector. 
• Excellent communication, IT presentation skills.
• A driving licence is essential for this position.
