The successful candidate will report to the Head of Plant Quality Assurance and will be responsible for running and planning the serial product audit and metrology department.
This role supports the production process from start to finish and includes problem solving, route cause analysis and driving robust solutions to improve quality.
You will ensure that all the work practices throughout the Industrial area are completed in accordance ISO 9001 and processes defined in ARIS and the SPQM house.
Leading and planning serial product audits and serial conformity tests in line with group sampling requirements and reviewing and submission of results is a key a part of this role.
You will be the point of contact for quality between the UK Industrial business and group certification, as well as the relevant notified bodies responsible for the accreditation of our products.
You shall provide leadership to the UK serial product audit team, as well as coaching and developing team members.
You will support the manufacturing team for continuous improvement and fault finding and the co-ordination and support of containment actions and long-term actions.
There will be times when you are required to deputise for the Head of Plant Quality Assurance across both the Belper and Derby Manufacturing sites.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
Previous Quality experience is essential to be considered for this role.
Effective and proven team management skills are required.
You should have existing knowledge of ISO 9001 and be proficient in using quality tools (8D, control plan, FMEA, etc)
Knowledge of SAP, AMS+ and Babtec is beneficial.
VAMS/vaiILIMS knowledge is advantageous but full training will be given.
