As a skilled Cathodic Protection Technician in the Operations Team, you will cover a region to take on the installation, inspection, commissioning, operation, repair and maintenance of various pipeline protection systems and other high pressure pipeline related activities.
This role will help protect and maintain the high-pressure systems in our compressor stations, pipelines and above ground installations. These assets are the heart of our high pressure gas network and provide critical national infrastructure to meet the UK end European energy demand.
You must have previously completed an apprenticeship (or other recognised training scheme) and hold a BTEC National Certificate (or equivalent City & Guilds NVQ/SVQ Level 3) in an relevant engineering background, ICORR qualifications are desirable for anyone wishing to apply.
You’ll have operated, controlled and undertaken work within Safe Systems of Work. Ideally you will have worked in cathodic protection or pipeline industry or utilities and have experience in undertaking maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification work on corrosion protection equipment.
You will be covering different sites so a willingness to travel to various locations including some overnight stays is expected, as well as travel to training courses.
