Your opportunity to lead, innovate, and deliver tactical planning initiatives, performance and process improvements for high voltage (HV) substation engineering works covering the North West region. This is a broad and varied role and your exposure across the business to different stakeholders will be vast, which is great for your development and raising your profile. You’ll also be surrounded by a fantastic team of experienced and professional engineers that will work collaboratively and support you.
This role is flexible on base location covering the North West region, hybrid working with travel and expectations of 1 – 2 days per week on site.
You will lead a team of planning engineers with a diverse range of experience and drive a high performance culture based on honesty and openness, through a combination of coaching and mentoring. Your team are responsible for building and managing an optimised operational plan (0 - 1 year) for our substation engineering teams in the North West. Ensuring we secure sufficient access to the electricity transmission network and allocating specialist engineering resources to deliver major infrastructure projects, new customer connections to the electricity network and maintenance works to meet our targets.
What are the requirements?
A minimum HNC ideally in Engineering and NEBOSH. To thrive in this role you’ll enjoy a fast paced regulated environment. Can demonstrate operational leadership skills and understanding of operational plan management (0 - 1 year), have commercial awareness and be experienced with data analysis, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators. You’ll also be experienced in implementing and driving performance and process improvements, working within strong governance and reporting frameworks. Delivered continuous improvement and can build strong relationships with stakeholders internal and external at all levels. You will need a current UK driving licence.
• £56,000 to £75,000 pa + 15% Bonus + Excellent benefits package + Company Car.
