This is a hybrid working role (2/3 days per week at the office) and can be based in the East Midlands or the South West.

What you'll do

About you

•    An excellent communicator with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to a range of internal and external stakeholders up to Director level.
•    Excellent analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with the ability to think critically, validate and analyse complex data, and to challenge and sense check results.
•    Demonstrable ability to build high quality, motivated teams who achieve their full potential.
•    A confident negotiator, you will ideally have experience of successfully leading negotiations at cross industry working groups.
•    Ideally you will have detailed knowledge of RIIO-ED2 Final Determinations and associated licence requirements or the ability to build this knowledge quickly
•    The ability to interpret regulatory guidance and translate into practical steps
•    Experience in regulatory reporting, with ability to understand complex regulatory mechanisms
•    The ability to develop robust cost assessment and benchmarking techniques, including but not limited to, econometric analysis.
•    You will need to hold a professional qualification at Level 5 or above in a relevant discipline.
•    There may be some travel involved with the role and therefore a driving licence is desirable.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At National Grid, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace for everyone. So, if you’re excited about this role but your experience or qualifications don’t match the job description exactly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be the right person for our growing business in this role or another one.
