A fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of Project Management support helping drive the efficient running of a close knit Project Management team, we're delivering the asset replacements required for maintaining the electricity system reliability and resilience enabling the UK to meet its climate, energy security commitments and net zero targets.
As the Technical Support Administrator, you’ll be at the core of the London Project delivery function supporting the Project Engineers in the delivery life cycle of individual projects or a portfolio of projects as required, whilst also supporting the Senior Project Manager with the governance position of the London portfolio of projects and incident investigations as required.
Key activities will include:
• Production, management, control & quality checking of construction packs.
• Support project closure through, administration, chasing and quality checking of key mandatory project closure documents.
• Undertake site visits across the zone to maintain and check compliance and update of project & site documentation.
• Track and support change control process of Project Governance Documentation.
• Manage key documentation for National Grid self-delivery Projects (NG enact the Principle Contractor role)
• Support the team with Purchase Order administration.
• Act as Tech Secretary for medium level investigations.
• Lead on team initiatives and support process improvements.
• Manage & co-ordinate team training compliance.
What are the requirements?
BTEC, ONC or equivalent preferably in engineering. We are looking for someone with a strong background in project administration and with an excellent eye for detail. You should have experience of using computer systems, with Microsoft Office skills and experience of working in a process driven environment. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you will be resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues. You will be able to prioritise your workload and be used to working in a fast-paced environment, with the drive and determination to reach targets and deadlines. NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable.
• A salary of £39,488 to £44,133 pa + Benefits Package + Training and Development.
• London allowance - £4,500 - £10,000 pa dependant on location.
