UK - Tameside based role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and the timely completion of production tasks. You’ll work on tankers loading and off loading and handle various products contained in Drums, Packaging and IBC's. The ideal candidate should live in the Greater Manchester area and be happy working an annualised shift pattern 4 x 12 hour days - 6 off - (reserved hours to cover eventualities).

What will I be doing day to day?

• Set up and operate processes according to established procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot any issues.
• Load materials, label and replenish supplies as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Audit work areas when scheduled 
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.

What knowledge or skills do I need to have?

• FLT Licence or experience operating a counterbalance
• Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing setting is beneficial but not required.
• Basic computer skills (SAP an added bonus)
• Ability to read and interpret SOP's and COP's.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physical dexterity (ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kgs).
