Course Code and Title: LINC61H3S - Structure of a Language
Course Description: An introduction to the phonetics, phonology, word-formation rules, syntax, and script of a featured language other than English or French. Students will use the tools of linguistic analysis learned in prior courses to examine the structural properties of this language. No prior knowledge of the language is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics or related field. Strong academic record and professional promise.
Featured language should not be French, English, Chinese dialects or recently featured languages.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience teaching structure of a particular language, linguistic fieldwork or a comparable course is preferred.
Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. This course will take place in-person at UTSC during the Summer S term (July - August).
