When people think of Severn Trent, they immediately think of water and waste – and that's only natural – it's our bread and butter after all… but you might not realise we have a thriving Transport team who currently repair and maintain a fleet of over 2,900 vehicles! From company cars to water tankers, we ensure that Severn Trent can safely transport equipment, valuable resources and our teams around safely and efficiently from A to B, day in day out.
We’re looking for a Senior Fleet Operations Co-ordinator to join our team on a permanent basis based out of our Coventry site. You’ll be accountable for directing a team of Fleet Technicians who are responsible for providing co-ordination and support to underpin the day to day running of the Severn Trent fleet administration. If you’ve got experience of managing a small team and are familiar with change processes, then read on!
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reporting into the Fleet Operations Manager (who you’ll step in for in their absence) you’ll develop excellent relationships with all our customer types and provide a 5/5 service, looking for future opportunities to enhance the relationships and safety of their teams.
You’ll support the team to drive successful performance delivery by providing timely feedback to them managing KPI’s.
You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries, and provide the point of escalation, owning complex issues and driving through to a resolution.
Responsibility will lie with you for ensuring all processes and documentation relating to fleet are up to date and compliant.
Your stakeholder management skills and your eye for detail will be put to good use here as you’ll hold regular team meetings to track performance and discuss improvement areas, ensuring appropriate action plans are in place, as well as creating and nurturing key stakeholder relationships and influencing teams’ behaviours and attitude to them.
