Working across the region, you will be focussed on working with our Waste Water local maintenance and operations teams to identify asset health, understand what the risk of failure could be and deliver all necessary plans to prevent any asset failure in the future.  You’ll also be looked upon to help bring about a step change in both the engagement, productivity and effectiveness of across the region by bringing new and innovative ways to ensure best practice is always demonstrated!

The Proactive Maintenance Improvement Manager will be required to own the asset maintenance programme for our region. This consists of multiple teams & technology types within the Wastewater Recycling treatment process. We’ll be expecting you to work with the Asset Care O&M teams in influencing how we evaluate asset health, condition monitoring and risk so we can establish an operation and maintenance plan that allows optimum performance on all asset types, while also minimising downtime. This approach will need to closely integrate with the existing Severn Trent Water asset maintenance approach.

Along with this you will significantly contribute toward establishing a clear guideline of types of work that teams would normally expect to complete “in house”. Further working with and influencing the Asset Care O&M to identify a means to refine RCM tasks, actively engaging frontline maintainers in this process. You’ll be the go-to person to identify training and skills needs that support our agreed work practices and objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

The role requires good leadership and relationships management skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business to ensure the smooth delivery of our maintenance programme.  It will also be essential that you have a minimum of a technical qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering to a BTEC / NVQ level 3.
