We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Water Network Operations and Leakage department as a Business Change Manager in the Water Networks improvement team on a 12 month secondment!

 

There is opportunity to work across the region and applications from all locations in the region will be considered (despite the location stating Severn Trent Centre above).

 

While in this role, you will play a key role in being accountable for delivering or working on large and small scale projects or business change initiatives associated with delivering our Water Networks commitments.

 

You will also be responsible for delivering business change and be accountable for project planning and reporting activities in line with the appropriate project life cycle.  You will build strong links with business teams, ensuring best practice is developed, shared, implemented and recorded.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

 

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • You will directly be accountable for delivery of assigned projects/improvement activity through the project life cycle, ensuring key activities are planned and lessons learned captured
  • You will ensure appropriate use of project and programme framework with particular focus on business change and business readiness deliverables
  • You will build a compelling case for change identifying options for delivery, underpinned by robust assumptions which are tested throughout the project lifecycle. You will ensure that project and change benefits are correctly identified and monitored, and that a framework is in place to enable sustainability of change
  • You will actively engage with the Project Sponsor and effectively manage other stakeholders across the business during the course of a change initiative, communicating effectively on deliverables to ensure they are well received by the recipients of the change and that the initiative is successfully delivered, sustainable and benefits realised
  • You will advise Project Boards, own and resolve issues and recommend corrective action as appropriate so that projects are sustained and implemented
  • You will provide regular engagement with the operational teams and the leadership team on delivery of improvement activity including progress updates, escalation items, key risks, benefits and OPEX impact.
  • You will effectively manage stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to ensure the successful delivery of change and realisation of benefits.
  • Take part in appropriate standby if required
